Beginning & Intermediate Pottery

We will work together to imagine, draft, and execute various forms of your choice. This will be a fun, creative, and experimental space to explore wheel throwing and some handbuilding according to your interests. Students must be 18 or older to participate. Program includes independent weekend hours.

Advanced Pottery Techniques

This class is for intermediate potters who are comfortable with throwing and handbuilding and are looking to greatly expand their skills and knowledge. Students will be introduced to advanced handbuilding and throwing techniques, the basics of glaze chemistry, additives to clay, basic plaster mold making and slip casting, and mixed-media ceramics. Students will come up with their own projects with support from their instructor along the way. Students must be 18 or older to participate. Program includes independent weekend hours.

Wheel Throwing
for Adult Beginners
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Tuesdays
Explore clay every evening through this introductory wheel throwing class. Learn and develop basic skills to produce forms, firing and glazing in a fun, relaxed environment. This class is perfect for anyone to learn ceramics after work, or anyone looking to build their confidence on the wheel later in the day. No experience necessary.


Weekend Wheel Throwing
9:00 AM - 11:30 AM on Sundays

Teen Art Activism
12:00 - 2:00 PM on Sundays

Be the change you want to see! In this class, students will be empowered with the methods, tactics, and skills to use their art to inspire and build people power. We will investigate the problems we want to tackle, learn from historical and contemporary examples of art activism, and learn techniques such as stenciling, collaging, puppet making, story telling, and more! The goal of this class is to come up with a creative action using mediums of the students’ choice that will help bring awareness, pressure decision makers, and create a lasting impact. For Teens ages 14-18.
